About

Do you want to feel whole, healthy and happy in your body?

I believe we have the resources within us and around us in nature to bring our body back to balance.  As a Nutritionist and Yoga Teacher I guide people through the healing journey with healthy, nourishing food and (where appropriate) a tailored practice that reconnects the body so that we may ‘tap into’ that deep inner resource; the natural ‘healing state’ of the body.

Being healthy is about finding the right balance

Life should be joyful, and part of that joy comes from sharing meals with loved ones. Thankfully we live in an era that provides an enormous array of healthy food options so we should never feel deprived. Oftentimes, being healthy can simply mean swapping out unhealthy options for healthy ones!

Holistic approach

Whilst I studied conventional Western style nutrition, my approach is holistic, incorporating the science of the West with the wisdom from the East. In order to truly find balance we must reconnect with our body – this is where yoga is so incredibly powerful!

I love all things ‘health’

With health being central to my own value system I endeavour to share and collaborate on a broad scale within the wellness community. I am a lecturer for a well-respected natural healthcare college in Sydney, a member of Yoga Australia and the Australian Natural Therapists Association, part of the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Eating Disorder Program for Adolescents, as well as a consultant to the natural health & wellness industry’s private sector.

In my free time I love to spend time cooking, reading and simply ‘being’ in nature. My husband and I often escape to our tiny house in the bush about 2 hours north-west of Sydney. In this little oasis there is no access to WiFi so mobile phones do not work – can you imagine!! It’s bliss. It’s amazing how just a few days without being contactable allows you to reconnect to yourself. This is where I recharge my batteries so that I can reinvest in my clients and students.

I would love to meet you, either in my clinic, your home (I do mobile services for Sydney clients) or over Skype soon. Send me an email so we can get started!

Values

  • Nature knows best - 'Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food' (Hippocrates)
  • Mindfulness - being present with life as it unfolds
  • Respect &  integrity - for self, others and our shared planet
  • Human connection & community - we as humans have a basic need to feel connected and to be part of a tribe
  • Passion for positive change - We all have our reasons for getting up in the morning and doing what we do, and for me it’s a knowledge that I am helping people to improve their health and wellbeing
